T.R.U.S.T., which stands for “To Respect, Unite, Support & Teach,” was founded on the
campus of Old Dominion University (Norfolk, Virginia) as a student organization in 2005.
T.R.U.S.T., Inc. achieved incorporation status in January 2009, recognizing the organization as a Virginia Nonstock Corporation. T.R.U.S.T., Inc. received official approval from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to be exempt from Federal income tax under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code in June of 2014. We are committed to serving our communities through:
empowering and training young adults to become servant leaders and positive change agents in their individual communities;
establishing and maintaining college student organizations;
affording graduating high school seniors with scholarships; and,
participating in varied mentorship-driven initiatives.
